Cooking It Up With Katie #61

It's challenge day again over at Cooking It Up With Katie and we are excited to be sponsored this week by Sassy Studios. They are offering the winner of this challenge their choice of 4 images from the store, how cool is that!  They have once again provided us with images to work with and I decided on I'm Every Woman- The New Spa Day which happens to be a FREEBIE (so go grab it)!

The challenge is week is:
Start with some Brads, Include some Letters, & Stamp an Image (rubber or digi)

I have used  the sketch from The Pink Elephant this week and I added Sparkly Fluff to her towel (which you can now find at Archiver's as my store had it with glitters). A little faux stitching, computer generated sentiments, and big button with ribbon complete this card!

Shannon's Sentiments #25- Get Well

As Shannon mentioned in THIS POST, this month Michelle is sponsoring Cards for a Cause to send cards to bring smiles to the faces of those deserving at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.

In honor of this sponsorship, Shannon has graciously created a FABULOUS new set called Get Well, and not only that, she is donating $1 from each set sale to the USO. That's 25%!!!! Thank you SO MUCH for your generosity, Shannon!!!!

Our challenge this week is to make a Get Well Card, or something else that would bring a smile to someone's face who is recovering from an injury. Hopefully, you will send that card (along with some others - hint hint!!!!!) to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, but that's not required. If you DO choose to send it there, PLEASE be sure to follow the guidelines you can find HERE. We want to bring smiles, not tears.

I have created 2 very simple cards for the challenge using the sketch from Clean & Simple, however I have turned it on it's side.  I love how versatile this sketch, it's perfect for using up all those scraps of paper we have lying around. Now head over to Shannon's Sentiments to check out the rest of DT projects!

I am entering these cards in the following challenges:

May Day Hop @ The Stamping Boutique

It's hard to believe that it's May already and what better way to celebrate than with a May Day Blog Hop with the talented ladies at The Stamping Boutique.  There will 2 seperate groups posting projects, so you can choose to hop Saturday/Sunday or both days.  You won't want to miss the wonderful creations from the design team using the image called "maypole."  If you came here from Rhonda's blog then you are on right track and I'm your last stop for today!  If not head over to The Stamping Boutique Challenge Blog to start hopping!

For my creation I decided to use Smooch for my ribbons, so  first I printed my image and then used my Nesties.  I then used the same Nestie as a stencil to add my blue sky.  After coloring my ribbons I cut each of pieces out and remounted, I added some tiny pearls to the ribbons and centers of flowers at top. I also added some tiny bling to sparkles on image.  I added the grass by using my icicle punch.

Now what hop wouldn't be comple with some BLOG CANDY, so I am offering one lucky person
2 FREE images from store as well as the maypole image!  All you have to do is leave me a comment and for an extra entry become a follower of my blog!

Don't forget on Tuesday, May 10th Tracey is having a "Dollar Digi Day", what does this mean you may ask?  Well all the images located in the "What's New" section of the store will be $1 each!  This means all the latest images will be at a huge fraction of cost! If you love TSB like I do, you won't want to miss your opportunity to build your collection!  So what are you waiting for, head over to store and get your shopping list ready for Tuesday!
Make sure to come back and hop tomorrow if you can, that hop will start at 12:00 am EST at The Stamping Boutique Challenge.

To the world.....

First we have regular sponsor Gingerloft who were very generous to our team and we hope you love the samples.  And we have the new sponsor 2 Cute Rubber Stamps who also provided us with images so we were spoiled!

This week the ingredients are:
Use Green (a little or a lot), Add some Punching, & Make it a Double (use two of something)

I chose to work with a 2 Cute Stamp and am in love with their adorable images, I see some retail therapy in my future there-LOL!!!  This cute image is called Penguin Wedding and have colored it using my Copics (100, BV00/02/04). I cuted the image out using my Nesties and then inked with CTMH Spring Iris ink.
