Cupcake Craft Challenge #27- Alter Something
Ok when I saw this challenge my mind starting trying to figure out what i wanted to alter. i have had these clocks sitting around since Christmas and decided this is what I needed to alter. KCASG February Shoebox Swap
What a great time we had at the 1st ever KCASG Shoebox swap for February! Jill was our wonderful hostess this month and out theme was Spring. There were 7 of us in attendance: Jill, Angji, Andrea, Wendie, Katie, Sarah, and myself. Everyone came up with a card/project, we each cut out all pieces to make our masterpiece, and then rotated stations. Wendie opted to be a paying guest this time, but next time she will dazzle us with one of here creations!
For my project, I decided to make a little gift item that ladies could keep or give away. I used the tutorial from Dannie's Designs for this project, which can be found here. I kept it pretty simple, but if I when I make my next set I plan on embellishing the outside more. The girls were so funny, because they were overwhelmed when I explained project, but once the made it they all loved it.
We all voted for our fave swap and I was chosen as winner! OMG I was so suprised and shocked, thanks ladies for a wonderful night! I got to bring home some beautiful spring flowers and a plate full of cupcakes (which my boys devoured)!

Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers #27
I am very excited to be a part of a new online community of wonderful ladies called the Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers #27. You can get more details on how you can join the group or new groups that are forming here. Waht is the sisterhood you ask? This comes from Alana:
Our mission is to create a sisterhood where we can share our triumphs and craft disasters. Somewhere we can go to get inspired by a friend. Somewhere we can go to unwind and get to know each other better. Many of us don't have friends or family close by that love to stamp, and we're looking to share our creations with someone who will appreciate them. We want to feel a little less alone and anonymous in the grand world of stamping.
A little blurb about me: I am a happily married mother of 2 wonderful, crazy boys. Oldest son is soon to be 13 and lil' guy is 4. We live in a small town about 30 miles north of Kansas City, MO. I work as an office assistant with my parents in real estates for ReMax Innovations.
We are a very busy, baseball family. DH coaches oldest son's team, so as I tell everyone "I am the brains behind that operation and he just looks pretty"-LOL!!! Little man is starting his 2nd season of t-ball and yes he is a ball player, following in footsteps of Big Bro! I am the team mom for his new team too!
Some crazy everyday facts about me:
1. I am a leftie (so are both my boys).
2. Born on April Fool's Day- no joke!
3. Once ate 72 peeps at a crop- talk about a sugar high!
4. Love Dopey the Dwarf and Phantom of the Opera.
5. Once ate and entire Grande meal from Taco Bell on a dare- many years ago!
Scrapping/Card making facts about me:
1. I never can find my scissors, just ask my BFF Heather who I met through Cricut website and can testify to me eating all those peeps.
2. I ink everythnig- yes all elements must be inked, love my cat's eyes!
3. I tend to make more things for others than doing projects/scrapbooking for myself.
4. I am part of a new Design Team for Crafts 4 Eternity- come join us on challenges!
5. I am very active in the Cards for Soldiers project on Cricut website, I am the shipper for the Central time zone. Check out my new website Cricut Cards for Soldiers and join in on supporting our troops!
So without further ado, I would love for you to meet my new Sisters of group #27.

2 New Blog Awards
I am so suprised and honored to have received 2 new blog awards from Michele over at The Lilac Diary. The 1st one is given to those people who show you their support by leaving comments on you blog.
I want to express my thanks to everyone who leaves such nice comments on my blog. Taking this plunge was very new to me and you all inspire me to try new things and not be afraid to put my creations out there for others to see. Before this I would have never submitted anything in contests or submitted for a design team.
I am learning so much everyday by surfing not only blog links on my site, but those blogs of those who visit my site and leave comments. I have made so many great friends through this adventure and hope one day to meet many of you in person and have one big party!
The 2nd is the Kreativ Blogger Award. The rules are that you have to wear it with pride on your blog and pass on to 7 people! Thanks again Michele you are such a sweetie!
I am passing both awards along to the following wonderful ladies:

Another fabulous sketch this week over at Crafts 4Eternity, come join the challenge and see the DT's fabulous cards!
Here is my take on sketch! Patterned fan paper is from DCWV Far East mat stack, other purple paper with dragonflies is from stack but I stamped the dragonflies using CTMH pansy purple ink. All other papers are from my stash as well as ribbon. Love stamp in corner is from a 6 pack of Asian stamps I have made by Stampcraft. The geisha image is a digital stamp from The Greeting Farm- isn't she cute?
Not only does this card work for C4E challenge, but it also fulfills the challenge at Daring Cardmakers. The challenge is :
Oriental Splendour-details below from site.
I would like you to make a card with an Oriental influence and the ‘Take Away’ I referred to is the twist in the tail.
When ever Oriental is mentioned most people, including myself immediately reach for Red and Black so I’m taking them away from you and removing them from the pallet of colours that you can use on your card.
This card also fulfills the challenge over at Cute Card Thusday. Challenge was to use something metallic on your card, I used brads and heart-shaped pin in geisha's hair.
