Spring has Sprung!

Well at least that is what I wish for every day as I am so sick of winter!  Today was first day of high school baseball tryouts for my oldest son and I can't wait until end of March to be sitting in those bleachers-LOL!

I have actually been getting in some crafting time and am in love with the new spring images at The Stamping Boutique.  For this card I chose to work with Flower cart, makes me excited for day I see my tulips come popping up!

I colored this image with Copics and then outlines everything with my black Spica pen.  I added some Sparkly Fluff in cotton candy pink to my flowers and then a little bling for the centers using my CTMH Bitty Sparkles.  Papers are from my stash and inked with CTMH Baby Pink or Key Lime. I added some embossing with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, sentiment is computer generated and then punched with my Stampin' Up punches.

I am entering this card in several challenges:

Bunny Zoe Crafts- spring and flowers everywhere
The Crazy Challenge- Here comes spring
Stamp Something- something with flowers

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #56- 3/2/1 Recipe

It's challenge day at Kaboodle Doodles and this week we have a recipe challenge for you!  We are sponsored this week by Gingerloft and they have provided our DT with images- thank you Gingerloft! One lucky winner will receive FREE images as well, how cool is that!

The recipe this week is as follows:
3 designer papers, 2 solids, & 1 embellishment. I decided it was time I got back to scrapbooking, so I grabbed this fun image "You Rock" that you can find here. I thought it was perfect as this is my Lucas with his Student of the Month medal, he just started Kindergarten this year.

I used papers from the DCWV School Days stack and used a layout from my new CTMH idea book called  Magic that you can pick up here. All my papers are inked with CTMH Black ink. I also used my Cuttlebug embossing folder to add the numbers to the red strip.  I put his medal in this fun little keepsake holder that my friend Darla gave me.

I added my journaling by computer generating it and then cutting in strips, this is another first for me!  I am usally horrible about journaling on my layouts but am going to try to do better in 2011!

WOO HOO- go me, I actually completed a layout for 2011!  Sue ( my close friend and CTMH consultant) is gonna be so proud of me!

Now make sure you head over to Kaboodle Doodles to chek out what rest of team has done and join the challenge!

I am also entering this in the following challenges:

Card Creations & More-anything that sparkles (All my papers are sparkly, you can see best in photo with journaling- see all those sparkly stars).

ECP Challenges-something for the boys (this layout is all about my sweet boy)

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #55-Break Tradition

It's challenge day again over at Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog and today we are "Breaking Tradition."  Yes that's right no more of those regular 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 cards we make all the time.  We are challenging you to step out the your box and try something new - make a project using a fold that is new to you or that you rarely ever use! Our sponsor for this week's challenge is Wink Wink Ink and the winner will receive a $15 voucher to use in their shop!

Wink Wink Ink was nice enough to provide each of our DT members with an image to use and I chose Rainy Day, isn't this little guy adorable? Makes me think of those April showers that are just around the corner letting us know spring has arrived. I printed image on cream colored cardstock and colored him with copics.

I decided to make an easel card and followed the instructions over at Splitcoast Stampers, which can be found here.  Once again I raided my paper stash, the polka dots is from my old DCWV stack.  The saying and cute lil' rubber boots are courtesy of Stampendous stamp set called Rainy Day Changito.  The scallop around my image is a new set of Nestabilities called lacey circles.  A little ribbon and button, as well as inking edges of everything courtesy of CTMH products.

Come join us and show us your non-traditional fold cards and check out the rest of our talented DT ladies projects here.

And the Blog Hop winner is ......

Blogger Thank you to everyone that visited my blog and left a comment on my creation for The Stamping Boutique Spring Hop!  Now to announce the winner of the 2 FREE images, www.random.org/ has selected:

The Stamping Boutique Spring Fever Blog Hop

We are hosting a "Spring Fever" blog hop this month! We're all sick of the snow and would love a little sunshine and flowers to pop in so we decided to bring them on ourselves! And bring it we did!

You'll have to make sure you hop to every design team blog. Make sure you post on EACH blog post for TSB to be eligible for the prize, our 4 new spring images.

If you came her from Christy L's blog you are on the right track, if not you will need to start at Amanda's blog and work your way through the group! At the Stamping Boutique, there will be an Inlinkz where you can post your comment after you have completed hop! From this list, the winner will be chosen randomly!

The hop will run from February 19th 12AM EST and you will have until February 20th 6PM EST. After that time, the comments will be tallied and the winner will be randomly picked.

The Design Team used a sketch this month for our creations. And above is my take on the sketch!  I raided my stash for my papers, the polka dots is from an older DCWV stack.  The crocheted flower is from an SEI kit I had and the bling brad is from CTMH.  Image is colored with Copics (W1/3/5/7,  R81/83/85, RV000, BG13/15/23, Blender ) and is called Bunny Egg.

Would you like to win some BLOG CANDY?  Leave me a comment and be entered to win 2 FREE images from TSB, how cool is that?  Now head on over to Colleen's blog to see her AMAZING creation!

Kaboodle Doodles #54- Hearts & Flowers

It's challenge day again at Kaboodle Doodles and we have the perfect challenge to go with Valentine's day!

This week our challenge is to use hearts and flowers in your projects. Our sponsor for this week's challenge is Pink Cat Studio and they have generously given the team some images to work with. The prize winner will receive their choice of 5 digital images from the Pink Cat Studios store!

I have a class party today for my Kindergartner's class and wanted a super cute treat to pass out!  So I grabbed my cricut and gypsy to create these cute matchbox sucker holders.  Matchbox is cut using Tags, Bags, and Boxex cartridge using CTMH paper (pink-watermelon, green-citrus leaf).  The embossing is a new Sizzix folder I grabbed at Michael's this weekend.  The image is called Frog In Love and colored very simply with Copics (RV14/23, YG03/05, R20, Colorless blender).  Punched these lil' cuties out using my Stampin' Up punch and inked edges with CTMH watermelon ink.  Added my Jolly Rancher suckers and a little ribbon to make complete!

Make sure to check out what rest of DT has created here and join the challenge.  We are very excited to have Lorie joining the team, she is very talented and I have worked with her in past as well as having pleasure of meeting her in person.

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #53

It's challenge day over at Kaboodle Doodles and you will want to pull out that ribbon for this challenge.  Yes that's right the challenge is to raid your stash of ribbon and use it when creating your project!

The challenge this week is sponsored by The Stamping Boutique and I used one of my fave images called Snowman Sign.  We are still covered in snow with a bit more predicted in next few days, so I decided to make a sign and printed my image 8 x 10 size.  I colored it with Copics and although you cannot see in pic added a few blings here and there.  Now for the fun part, the black is a chalkboard and I got it awhile ago at the
i (heart) papers store- now I just need to grab so chalk and my
6 year old will love to use this to count down to special events.

So what are you waiting for, come join us over at Kaboodle Doodles here to enter your card and check out rest of team's projects!
